Digital Media & Platform Development

HERES was a multi-media platform and publication exploring the shared culture, histories, and heritage of Londoners through photography, art, and events. Organized by a collective of emerging artists, photographers, and creatives, the project aimed to amplify underrepresented voices and foster creative dialogue across disciplines.

I joined the collective in 2019 to support the early development of the brand, contribute to digital media production, and assist in planning the magazine's launch event scheduled for late 2020.

Digital Media Production

As part of my work with HERES, I produced a teaser video to introduce the magazine and its creative direction.

I then adapted the video into a series of shorter Instagram-friendly promotional "bumps," designed to capture attention and drive engagement across social media platforms.

Website Development

I also designed and built a digital platform for the project, featuring a custom interactive gallery connected to a CMS. This system allowed the editorial and photography teams to independently upload and manage content, ensuring the site remained dynamic and up-to-date.

The website's design reflected the collective's experimental ethos by incorporating interactive animations and multimedia elements. We leveraged original photography and video throughout the site to create an immersive and visually engaging user experience.

Strategic Collaboration

Beyond media production, I contributed to shaping the project's strategic direction. This included brainstorming sessions focused on audience engagement, social media strategy, and the overall structure of the magazine's rollout. My input helped the team navigate key decisions around branding, content presentation, and community outreach.

While my formal involvement concluded after six months as I moved on to other projects, the collaborative process and creative experimentation at HERES remain a meaningful part of my experience in supporting grassroots creative initiatives.
